Dr. Schuett was raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and attended R.J. Reynolds High School. After completing his career in college football and baseball at the University of Virginia, Dr. Schuett completed his medical school and residency in Orthopaedic surgery there also. Loving the outdoors and wanting to apply his athletic background to his profession, he completed a 2 year sports medicine and hand surgery fellowship under the leadership of Dr. Frank C. McCue, a renowned leader in the field. During his medical career, Dr. Schuett has served as medical director of the Concord University Athletic Training Program and was named Virginia High School Coaches Association Sports Medicine "Doctor of the Year" in 2002.
His wife, a Masters Degree graduate in Education from the University of Virginia, maintains an active role in various school and educational activities. She is currently selling real estate in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Dr. Schuett offers the latest in complete non-surgical management of Arthritis, Tendonitis, Plantar Fascitis, Nerve Problems, Athletic Injuries and Osteoporosis. When surgery is necessary, he can either perform fracture fixation, total joint replacement, arthroscopic evaluation, and soft tissue repair of most joints or he can refer patients for the best in orthopaedic care.
